Why Symt exists.
Symt started with engineers building delivery and fleet systems for companies across the Gulf. Every project hit the same wall: world-class maps existed, but only as a metered faucet on someone else’s cloud. Bills that grew faster than the business. Data that left the country on every request. Contracts that forbade storing your own geocodes.
So we built our own stack — routing, geocoding, tiles — on open engines and rich regional data, hardened it on real fleets in Riyadh and Jeddah, and merged in the proprietary layers our customers needed. Then a government customer asked the question that defined the company: “Can it run with no internet at all?”
It could. Symt is that platform, productized: sovereign-first location infrastructure that deploys on-premises, in your cloud, or fully air-gapped — with clean, auditable data provenance. The next billion people coming online won’t be mapped by one company in one country. They’ll be mapped by the businesses and governments that serve them. We build their platform.
